Hi! I'm Kelly....
I love to travel with my family, but found that it wasn't always affordable. Listening to a podcast while commuting to work one day, I stumbled upon the world of points and miles and have been hooked on earning as many points as possible to take reasonably priced, and sometimes nearly FREE, vacations.
I was so excited to earn four free plane tickets on my first free trip in 2022. My husband, my two sons and myself flew for free to Atlanta, Georgia, where we visited some childhood friends and made a stop at the Georgia aquarium while we were there. On our inaugral trip using points and miles, only our plane flights were free. Then, in 2023, we flew to Disney World for free, PLUS we earned free tickets to the parks throughout our stay.
I love traveling and want to share the world with my kids. I also love living on a budget. The two do not mix well. I have started to find a way to make both work together. I hope to share what I have learned with you so that maybe you and your family, too, can experience a lucrative travel life while also living within your budget. I love learning from others, so I hope this space becomes a community where we can share travel tips and tricks with each other.
Here is a list of trips our family has taken and the savings on each adventure.
Atlanta, Georgia (2022) -- $2,144 in savings (the cost of four roundtrip plane tickets from Manchester, NH, to Atlanta, Georgia)
Disney World (February 2023) -- $3,297 in savings (the cost of four roundtrip plane tickets from Manchester, NH, to Orlando, Florida, plus the cost of 4 four-day pass tickets to all the Disney World parks)
Bar Harbor, Maine (July 2023) -- $718.90 in savings (the cost to stay at a Ramada in Bar Harbor the weekend following the Fourth of July)
